When Bill died in 1989, the world wide web did not exist. Digital photography practically didn't exist either. With the passing of my mother, Dorothy A Gordon, Bill's wife, in 2009, I created a memorial website for her, especially because of her far flung friends. I then decided to also create a memorial website for my dad.

Gordon is a lyricist who leaves nature alone.... Gordon does more to stir up one's sense of beauty. He can produce a lovely effect from rather simple subject-matter, the spray, for instance, which fans up to left and right from a garden hose running through the center of his picture field. Gordon also plays most intriguingly on analogies between nature and the human body. A good example is the picture of Livermore slopes in shadow, sun and haze which suggest a pair of furry legs propped on an unseen foot rest.
